Privacy Statement

Cadence handles personal and health information about athletes and staff. This page explains in plain language what we collect, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have.

Who this applies to

This statement covers everyone who uses Cadence — athletes and players, coaches, assistant coaches, and club administrators. Cadence is operated from Western Australia by the team behind cadenceperformance.com.au.

What information we collect

We only collect information that Cadence needs to do its job. That falls into four groups.

  • Account details — your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and the club or team you belong to. Your password is stored in an encrypted form that we cannot read.
  • Health and wellbeing information — when an athlete completes a wellness check-in, we record ratings for sleep quality, sleep duration, fatigue, stress, mood and muscle soreness, along with an optional injury or pain flag and any note the athlete chooses to add.
  • Performance data — fitness testing results, training programs and sessions, attendance and availability responses, and game or match reviews.
  • Basic technical information — the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and your account secure. Cadence does not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics. See our Cookie Notice for the full list.

Sensitive health information

Wellness ratings and injury notes are sensitive health information. We treat them with extra care. This information is used only to help coaching and support staff manage training load and athlete welfare. It is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used for any purpose beyond running your team inside Cadence.

How we use your information

  • To give athletes a record of their own wellness, testing and training history.
  • To let coaching staff monitor readiness, manage training load and support athlete welfare.
  • To operate the platform — signing you in, keeping your account secure, and sending you the emails Cadence needs to function.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it to anyone.

Who can see your information

Access is limited by your role and your team. An athlete can see their own data. Coaches, assistant coaches and club administrators can see data for the athletes in the teams they manage. A platform administrator may access data where it is genuinely needed to provide support or keep the service running. Nobody outside your club sees your information.

Where your information is stored

Your information is held in a secured database on managed cloud infrastructure, with access protected by authentication and, where enabled, two-factor sign-in. We take reasonable steps to protect it, but no online service can promise perfect security, and we will not claim otherwise.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and your club uses Cadence, so that your training and wellness history stays available to you. If you want your data removed, contact us and we will deal with the request.

Your choices and rights

  • You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you.
  • You can ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and associated data.
  • Wellness check-ins are voluntary — you choose what to record and whether to add a note.

To make any of these requests, email us at [email protected].

Changes to this statement

If we change how Cadence handles your information — for example if we ever add analytics — we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear.
